Obituary of Clyde Eugene Collins
Clyde Eugene Collins, a resident of Carriere, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on February 2, 2020 at the age of 68. He was a native of Hobbs, New Mexico. Clyde is the beloved father of Tiffani Dickerson (Zhon), Brandon Collins (Jennifer), Kristie Collins, and Linsi Manuel (Michael); cherished grandfather of Heidi Leblanc, Wendi Ford, Allie Lee, Kara Collins, Levi Collins, Madison Collins, Cooper Collins, Jamison Thomas, Kyler Thomas, Kaylee Manuel, and Layton Manuel; loving great-grand father of Tucker Ford and Abbigail Lee; and caring brother of Wiley Owens and Carol Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents Eva Ballard and Harmon Collins. After graduating from Hobbs High School in Hobbs, New Mexico with the class of 1970, Clyde proudly served in the United States Army. He later worked as the South Texas Gateway District Manager for Plains All American Pipeline. Clyde was dedicated to his job and enjoyed working but in his free time he enjoyed clay shooting, target practice, fishing, and camaraderie with friends. He also enjoyed gambling at the casinos and was very lucky. Clyde will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Audubon Funeral Home located at 61101 Highway 11 in Slidell, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A graveside service with military honors will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
