Obituary of Eloisa Peregrino Pastrana
Eloisa Peregrino Pastrana died from complications related to Covid 19 on July 23, 2020 and departed this life to be united with Christ at the age of 81. Eloisa was born in Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico on March 24, 1939 to Amada (Quintana) and Alfonso Peregrino. Her mother was a homemaker and her father a farmer. Eloisa shared her life as a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother “Tita”, and great-grandmother. An energetic, dignified, and loving homemaker, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Manuel Peregrino; three sisters, Estella Peregrino Mendoza, Margarita Peregrino, and Dolores Peregrino Jordan; and two great-granddaughters, Angel Marie Pastrana and Josephine Margaret Lee.
She is survived by her loving husband, Armando Pastrana, whom she met while working in a shop in her hometown of Gomez Farias, Chihuahua, Mexico. Eloisa and Armando fell in love and were married ten days after meeting. They shared sixty-two wonderful years of marriage together both in Mexico and after moving to the United States in 1970. Eloisa is also survived by her three sons and their spouses, Jose (Ruby) Pastrana of Lumberton, Texas; Armando (Emmy) Pastrana Jr. of London, England; and Dean (Susan) Pastrana of Fort Worth, Texas and by her three daughters and their husbands, Peggy (Ron) Hale and Patricia (Federico) Acosta, both of Ruston, Louisiana; and Rosaura (Rodolfo) Talavera of Picayune, Mississippi.
She leaves behind six siblings, Guadalupe Delgado, Maria de los Angeles Peregrino, Vicky Peregrino, Gloria Peregrino, Felipe Peregrino, and Saul Peregrino and eighteen grandchildren; Carlos Pastrana, Doyle Hale, Daniel Hale, Jose Pastrana II, Anna Pastrana, Adriana Pastrana, Victoria Pastrana, Nalicia Hummel, Cecelia Acosta, Federico Acosta Jr., Patricia Fields, Rita Menesses, Hector Talavera, Christopher Pastrana, Mason Pastrana, Brennan Clare-Hackett, Alina Hackett, and Dean Pastrana Jr. Eloisa is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren, Tristan, Kellen, Jillian, Jayden, James, Ellie, Emily, Catherine, Ilyanna, Beaux, Timothy, Lakyn, Dalton, Gavin, Rosalina, and Alexander.
Funeral services will be held at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell, Louisiana from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020 followed by a Catholic Mass and a Rosary in the chapel. Social distancing will be required and all attendees must wear a mask and use hand sanitizer upon arrival. Attendance will be limited.
