Obituary of Allen Pierce Barringer
Allen Pierce Barringer of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on October 10, 2020 at the age of 84. He was born in Lacombe, Louisiana on April 14, 1936 to the late Lucille and William Barringer. Allen leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 63 years, Selena Jordan Barringer; three loving children, Brenda (Gary) Passman, Allen (Desi) Barringer Jr., and James (Roxanne Diaz) Barringer; three adoring grandchildren, Gary (Ashley) Passman, Jennifer (Don) Seghers, and Karlee (Jacob) Stephens; six precious great-grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella, Lillie, Maevery, Ayvah, and Vayda; and seven caring siblings, Calvin Barringer, Donald Barringer, Bobby Barringer, Wayne Barringer, Dennis Barringer, Rita Barringer Allen, and Arlen Barringer. He was preceded in death by his siblings Harold Barringer, Jerome Barringer, Howard Barringer, Tommy Barringer, and Muriel Barringer.
Allen was a welder by trade and enjoyed a successful career with Air Products & Chemicals Inc. He was a talented artist and after retirement, he enjoyed spending his time painting, but Allen loved nothing more than the time he spent with his friends and family. They will greatly miss him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation (adhering to social distancing guidelines) on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
