Lorrie Nakapahiwaokalani Kauwe passed away November 5, 2020 at her residence in Slidell, Louisiana.
She was born on March 21, 1971 in Hilo, Hawaii to her parents Walter and Davelyn Walker.
Lorrie was preceded in death by her father, Walter Kauwe and her oldest brother, Nathan Walker. She is survived by her husband, Richard Guidry; son, Nalu Kauwe Simeona; mother, Davelyn Myrtle Walker; brothers, Clayton Kauwe of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and Gentry Kauwa of Hillsboro, Oregon; God-brother, Sean Kaipo of San Diego, California; and stepsisters, Cheryl Pukahi of Waianae, Hawaii and Laverne Lake of Utah.
Lorrie attended the Aveda Institute of Cosmetology and was employed at the Bella Style Salon in Old Town Slidell. She loved to travel and was an avid foodie. Lorrie was a true angel on earth. Everyone who knew her loved her. She had a beautiful smile and a special glow about her that would brighten any room she entered.
