Jeannette Neff Cox, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on November 18, 2020 surrounded by the love of her family at the age of 80. She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on July 24, 1940 to the late Lawrence Neff and Della Deballion Neff.
Jeannette leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 64 years, Huey P. Cox Sr.; nine children, Deborah Ferguson (James), Donna Gilmore (the late Edward Gilmore), Huey P. Cox Jr. (Shannon), Darlene Wise (Jim), Andy Cox (Tara), Dawn Droddy, Kevin Cox (Jessica), George Cox (Casey), and Chris Cox (Melanie); 29 adored grandchildren; and 28 precious great-grandchildren. Jeanette is also survived by her sister, Maryellen Couvillion. She was preceded in death by Maryellen’s husband, Micheal; a brother, Lawrence Neff and his wife, Marie; and a sister, Carol Herbert and her husband, Richard.
Jeanette’s passions were her unwavering faith and beloved family. She touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church for over 40 years and most recently a member of St. Genevieve, where she served as a Eucharist Minister. Jeanette was dearly loved by countless extended family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation (adhering to social distancing guidelines) on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
