Obituary of Richard Truman Voyles
Richard Truman Voyles, of Lacombe, Louisiana, passed peacefully in his home on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the age of 81. He was born on February 1, 1940 in Los Angeles, California to Ruby and Willie Cecil Voyles. Richard worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 30 years and the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office as the Chief Investigator for six years and as an NFL Security Representative for 25 years. He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965 and was also a member of the Society of Former Agents.
Richard is survived by his wife, Linda Mae Stuart Voyles; sons, Russell T. Voyles (his wife, Rebecca O’Roark) and Richard S. Voyles (his wife, Danielle Dardon); grandchildren, Alexandra Lockett Voyles Smith, Tyler Voyles, and Grant Voyles; and brother, Michael Eugene Adams. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Beth Voyles Belger and brother, Billy Keith Voyles.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, March 1st at 9:30 a.m. at Covington Presbyterian Church followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation in Richard’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
