Obituary of Lorine Drewes Chauppetta
Lorine Drewes Chauppetta, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on June 4, 2021 at the age of 77. She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on January 31, 1944 to Lorine Zimmer Drewes and Charles E. Drewes. Lorine leaves behind, to cherish her memory, three daughters, Danielle Chauppetta Culotta (Ray), Jennifer Chauppetta Stringer (Bradley), and Jessica Ann Chauppetta (Adam); four grandchildren, Tristan, Jenna, Scott, and Mason Lee; former spouse, John Chauppetta; and a host of friends and family members whom she loved deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Tonya Chauppetta.
Lorine is a graduate of Nichols High School. She spent many years doing what she loved best, being a wonderful mother and grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and was a cat lover. Lorine also cherished time with her friends and was a member of the Elks, The Happy Hour Social Group, The Moose Lodge, and the Senior Citizen Club. She will forever be remembered as having a beautiful soul and as the matriarch of her family. Lorine was always the life of the party. Her smile was contagious, and she brought light everywhere she went. Lorine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
