Obituary of Julie Cambas Shepperson
Julie Cambas Shepperson, a resident of Abita Springs, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on July 9, 2021 at the age of 51 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 22, 1970 in Metairie, Louisiana, to her loving parents, Shirley Holland Cambas and the late Theophile “Buddy” Cambas and spent many years as a resident of St. Bernard Parish. Julie is the beloved spouse of 32 years to Michael Shepperson; cherished mother of Zachary Shepperson (Amanda), Donna Shepperson Boihem (Chad), and Mason Shepperson (Krista); proud Mimi to Lillian Rose Shepperson, Mackenzie Marie Boihem, and Gage Michael Shepperson; and loving sister of Cathy Cambas, Buddy Cambas, David Cambas, and the late Donna Cambas Barr.
After graduating from Andrew Jackson High School, Julie spent her time doing what she loved most, being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also took every opportunity to spend time outdoors and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Julie was an animal lover at heart and adored nothing more than spending time with her husband, her children, and her grandbabies. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
