Obituary of Tina Marie Barto
Tina Marie Barto was born on July 24, 1959 in New Orleans, Louisiana and flew away to Heaven on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 61 years of age. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Marie Antoinette Barto; grandmother, Leona Peterson; and her father, Peter J. Barto.
Tina is survived by her children, Melissa K. Bahlinger (Fritz), Christopher Kottemann (Lisah), and Michael Kottemann; grandchildren, Malachi Bahlinger, Brody Kottemann, and Autumn Kottemann; siblings, Aimee Barto Lashley, Christopher Barto, Karen Stiller, Eric Stiller; Ella Rose Stiller; step-mother, Marcia Barto; cousin Melanie Patshy; Partner, Raymond Finch.
Tina will be remembered for her love of Jesus, her children, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and learning about flowers. She was fascinated with weather and never missed out on watching a storm roll in from her front porch. She had affection for all animals but especially birds. Her favorite vacation spot was Navarre Beach. Tina never missed a chance to ride down Lake Road and watch the waves roll by. She kept John Denver, The Allman Brothers, and Jimmy Buffett on rotation. She would tell you the best days of her life were the days she gave birth to her children. She loved them the best that she could.
Tina had a love for the Lord that would sometimes bring her to tears. She knew in her heart that Jesus had died for her on that Old Rugged Cross and that when the time came, He would open His arms and welcome her home. On July 9th she flew on the wings of an eagle to Heaven and all her pain was gone. We know we will dance on streets of gold with Tina one day where none of us will ever shed a tear again. We look forward to that celebration.
