Obituary of Kevin Edward Marlborough Sr.

Kevin Edward Marlborough Sr., of Picayune, Mississippi, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on August 28, 2021 at the age of 61 due to Covid pneumonia. For 61 years, Kevin made the world a brighter place and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him because all were friends or “family.”

Kevin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 26, 1960. He lived around the New Orleans area until enlisting in the United States Navy, traveling with his loving wife by his side for 20 years through rough seas and fair winds.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife of 36 happy years, Sandra Scariano Marlborough. He is also the proud father of two children: son, Kevin Marlborough Jr. (Leigh Ann) and daughter, Brittany Marlborough Kappe (Philip). He leaves behind three precious grandchildren: Westin and Harlyn Marlborough and infant Eleanor Kappe. He is also survived by three siblings: Leonard C. Marlborough Jr., Laurie Marlborough Maloney (Mark), and Dwayne Marlborough (Kim); his in-laws, Sal and Dee Scariano; and Robert “B.J.” Reynolds, whom Kevin considered a son. He is preceded in death by his adored parents, Leonard C. Marlborough Sr. and Estelle McKernan Marlborough and sister, Barbara Lynn “Babs” Marlborough. He has numerous cousins and friends, especially those at Folgers, New Orleans, where he worked for over 19 years.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home located at 61101 Hwy. 11 in Slidell, LA 70458.  A memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. All attendees MUST wear a mask while inside and we strongly encourage social distancing.
