Obituary of Donald "Donny" B. Roth Jr.

Donald "Donny" B. Roth Jr. was born on February 22, 1945 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and passed away peacefully at his dream home on the lake in Slidell, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 3,2021 at the age of 76. He is the beloved husband of Johanne C. Roth for 27 years; loving father of Scott N. Cascio Sr. (Ellen) and Michael G. Cascio (Brandi); proud paw-paw of Blain, Brennan, Sidney, Scott Jr., Mia, Macie, Marlie, and McKenna. Also survived by his brother, Dennis E. Roth (Deborah); nieces and nephew, Chrissy, Natalie, Adrienne, and Denny; and a host of family members and friends. Donny is preceded in death by his parents, Donald B. Roth Sr. and Claire L. Roth; sister, Judith R. Carrillo; and granddaughter, Molly Cascio.

He was a graduate of John McDonogh High School and a Veteran of the Army National Guard of Louisiana. Donny was the proud owner of Regional Valve Corporation for over 40 years. He was also a member of the Slidell Elks Lodge 2321 for 25 years and a member of the Bayou State Elks Campers. He loved boating, fishing, and traveling in his RV all over the United States. His greatest joy in life was spending quality time with his family and friends. Donny will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation in his honor will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at St. Catherine of Siena Church located at 105 Bonnabel Blvd. in  Metairie, LA from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Catholic Mass to follow and interment at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
