Rose Ann Leiser Annis, age 77, beloved wife of the late Richard Arthur Annis, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 28, 2021, after a battle with lung cancer. Rose Ann was born on February 18, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Herman Emile Leiser and the late Rosalie Mary Famularo Leiser. She is the loving mother of Katherine Ann Annis and JoAnn Annis Houghtaling (George); grandmother to Kassandra Karin and Kandyce Kristin Annis, Matthieu Brennan Houghtaling, Nicole Noleigh Amacker Bullock (James), and the late Samantha Ann-Louise Houghtaling Wells (Corey); great-grandmother to Kaitlin, Brendan, Isabella, Alarik, Elijah, Joshua, and Logan; sister of Mary Jane “Janie” Clutterbuck (Chuck), Nancy Ann Kreiter (Tommy), Lawrence Charles Leiser Sr. (Diane), the late Herman “Buddy” Leiser (Linda), and the late Alice Mae Merrick (Wayne). She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A native of New Orleans, Louisiana and life-long resident of Pearl River, Louisiana, Rose Ann was a graduate of East Jefferson High School with the Class of 1961. She was employed as a travel agent for 40 years before retiring in 2004. She loved gardening and traveling. She went on numerous cruises with her mother, Rosalie and sister, Alice. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
