Obituary of Valerie Jean Redman Morgan
Valerie Jean Redman Morgan, age 58, passed away at home on November 4, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born December 13, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Valjean and Sylvia Redman.
Known by friends as Val, she was a compassionate human being who loved to love people. She had a “big tent” approach to life – there was always room for someone else to fit into her world. She was a living example of the verse found in Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Valerie lived life to the fullest, spreading her joy and infectious laughter everywhere she went and to whomever she was with. She had the innate ability to make everyone feel comfortable around her as if they were long-lost friends.
She had an artistic soul that made itself most visible in the way she decorated homes, businesses, and the stage at Slidell Little Theatre.
The “baby” of the family, Valerie was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis. She is survived by sister, Virginia Redman; brothers, Charles, William, and Donald; her three children and their spouses, Brian and Rachel Morgan, Brad Morgan, and Brittany and Darren Erman; grandchildren, Jenna and Brandon Morgan, Lily, James, and Andrew Morgan, and Oliver Erman; and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home located at 61011 Highway 11, in Slidell, Louisiana. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Donations to the Louisiana SPCA in Valerie’s memory are appreciated. Condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
