Margaret Coleman Poynot Schenck, beloved wife of Paul Schenck, died on November 13, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Margaret was a devoted mother to her children, daughter Michelle Koonce (Jason), son Paul G. Poynot (Sara), and daughter Tiffany Poynot (deceased). She was affectionately known as Gigi to her loving grandchildren, Zoe Poynot and Joseph Koonce. Margaret was born to Anna Belle and Granville Coleman on July 8, 1951. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Witham (George), Laura Coleman, and Karen Harden (Del) and her brother Christopher Coleman (Tina). She was preceded in death by her father Granville Coleman; her mother Anna Belle Coleman; her sisters Sharon Juhasz (Roy), and Linda Nuschler; as well as her brothers Charles Coleman (Marianne), Donald Coleman, and Howard Coleman (Diane).
When we think of Margaret, we know that her love for Jehovah God and his teachings were evident in her life. She loved speaking about her grandchildren and how much she loved them. From the time she "taught Zoe how to peel a crab" to her asking a toddler Joseph for "the biggest kiss ever," her grandchildren brought her love and laughter. We will cherish these memories until the words of Job 14: 14-15 ring true, "You will call and I will answer." Also, John 5: 28-29 says, "All those in the memorial tombs will hear His voice and come out.”
We love you to the moon and back till we see you again in paradise!
In view of current conditions, there will not be an in person funeral service, but one online, to be announced at a later date. Please remember the thoughts that have helped us to ease our grief: Margaret is no longer suffering and she knew Jehovah God's promises for the future. We find comfort in knowing we will be reunited with her in paradise on earth. Psalm 37:29, Matthew 6:9-10, and Revelation 21:3-5.
