Obituary of Randy David Weaver
Randy David Weaver, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on December 27, 2021 at the age of 67. He is a native of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, born on November 19, 1954 to his loving parents, Theresa LaPointe Shipman and the late Gordon Raymond Weaver. Randy is the cherished father of Stacy Weaver (Callie), Brandon Weaver (Laura), Raymond Carey McIntosh IV, Brandi McIntosh and proud grandfather of McKayla Morris, Byron Weaver, Brayden Weaver, Isabel Weaver, Aspen Weaver, Bryson Scruggs, Cannon Weaver, Lisa McIntosh, and Braden McIntosh. He was preceded in death by his wife of 9 ½ years, Lisa Lynnette Weaver, and two brothers, Mike Weaver and Scott Weaver.
Randy is a graduate of Tulane University, where he earned a Masters of Social Work. He was the founding CEO for the nonprofit organization Truth 180. Randy was a member of the Mankind Project and led local Veterans through their rehabilitation process. He was a community servant whose passion was bringing people back from places they never knew they could get out of. Randy truly changed lives.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, vacationing at the beach, taking in the sun, traveling in his RV, and being a pirate with his grandkids. Randy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
