Obituary of Stanley N. Worchel

Stanley N. Worchel, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on January 17, 2022, surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 88. He is a native of Brooklyn, New York, born on May 10, 1933 to the late Max J. Worchel and Sylvia Levine Worchel.  Stanley is the beloved husband of 61 years to Esther Aldridge Worchel; cherished father of Paul Worchel (Pam), Bobby Worchel (Becky), and Cari Worchel Murphy; adored grandfather of Sean Worchel (Amanda), Sarah Strate (Michael), Claire Worchel, Robbie Worchel, and Emily Murphy; and caring brother of Phyllis Karten (Sol).

Stanley bravely served in the United States Army, where he received the Army of Occupation Medal.  He was employed with NAVO as an Oceanographer.  Stanley will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
