Obituary of Pamela “Pam” Gerdes Verdin
Pamela “Pam” Gerdes Verdin, age 64, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on February 7, 2022.
She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 17, 1957 to her loving parents, the late Joseph Jacob Gerdes Sr. and Violet Textor Gerdes. She grew up in Terrytown, Louisiana and was a caring sister to Kenneth Gerdes Sr., Sherlene Haggerty (Bryan), and the late Joseph “Joey” Gerdes Jr.
Pam had a generous, loving, and kind spirit who offered continuous support and comfort for her loved ones when in need.
In her free time, Pam loved spending time shopping, gardening, watching ID channel, reading books, journaling, decorating her home, and cooking, but loved nothing more than the time she spent with her family and fur babies, Cooper and Sophie.
She also enjoyed sitting by the water fishing, collecting seashells on the beach, and eating at her favorite restaurants.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially by her four daughters, Desiree Weaver (Ryan), Bridgett Haggstrom(Chris), Crystal Lane (Jacob), and Ashley Frederick (Wendell), who adore her with all of their hearts.
She is a treasured grandmother to Derek St. Amant Jr., Dallas Ballas, Dakota St. Amant, Davian Lane, Tannar Chauvin, Skyler Haggstrom, Mariana Lane, Damiana Verdin, Troy Frederick, Jayda Lane, Damien Verdin, Isaiah Harris, Ashton Harris, Tory Frederick, Kaleb Frederick, Alexah Haggstrom, and Jack Haggstrom.
Great-grandmother to Mason St. Amant, Jhase St. Amant, Nylah Jones, Kaiden Ballas, Harlam Edwards, Declan Ballas, Peyton Ballas, Kali Lane, and Kobi Edwards.
Pam did not like goodbyes, so we'll say, "We will miss you until we meet again."
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, February 18, 2022 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A Funeral Mass will begin in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
