Obituary of Rosario “Albert” Crespo
Our hearts are saddened to announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, Rosario “Albert” Crespo. Albert received his Heavenly wings on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the age of 78. He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on October 1, 1943. Albert resided in Chalmette, LA, prior to Hurricane Katrina. His most recent residence was in Hammond, LA.
Albert is the cherished father of Anthony Taranto III, Sherry Corona, Rachel Correa (spouse, Fernando), and Stephanie Harris (spouse, Andrew); treasured grandfather of Derek, Joshua, Desiree, Aleea, Lee, Beaux, Dylon, Gabrielle, Emily, Addyson, Alyvia, and Anthony; and the great-grandfather of Daniel Jr., Brielle, Faith, Grace, Liam, Arthur Jr., Hope, Khloe, Kinsley, Leo, Cal, Rowan, and Hadley. He is also survived by his siblings, Ricardo Crespo and Marguerite Marks, and numerous extended family members and friends whom he loved dearly.
Albert was preceded in death by his devoted wife of fifty-three years, Sybil Dill Crespo; his parents, Ralph and Marguerite Crespo; and his sister, Lolita Crespo.
Albert retired after thirty-six years of employment at Cooper T. Smith Mooring where he worked as a lineman. He enjoyed watching football, doing yard work, and going to the casino, but he loved nothing more than the time he spent with his family. Albert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A funeral service will begin in the chapel at noon. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
