Obituary of Dr. Kenneth Ord Starling, DDS

Our beloved Dr. Kenneth Ord Starling, DDS passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 52, in his hometown of Slidell, Louisiana.

He is survived by a loving family: his mother, Barbara Cresap Starling; his sister, Sheryl Starling; his nephew, Holden Merritt; his mother's three sisters, Nina Cresap, Louise Cresap Geubelle, and Eileen Cresap Lewis; his uncle, Gilbert Geubelle; his aunt, Annette Albritton; many cousins, and his loyal best friend, Nicky Pusateri Wilson.

Preceding him in death was his father, Captain Robert L Starling, a Naval aircraft carrier pilot and a captain with Delta Air Lines; his uncle, Wayne Lewis; and baby cousin Audra Geubelle.

Ken graduated Slidell High School in 1987 as Senior Class President. He then graduated LSU in pre-med. Ken went on to graduate from the LSU School of Dentistry in 1997, where he again was Senior Class President. He had a successful career as a board-certified dentist, volunteering his time on dental aid missions to the mountains of Puerto Rico and Venezuela.

Ken soloed in flight and was an avid deep-sea diver, having dived in Mexico, the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Australia. He loved his many trips throughout Europe and had spent time in South America as well.

He was a talented actor and an avid Saints and LSU fan.

Ken appreciated life, living it to its fullest. People gravitated to his commanding presence and to his ability to make others laugh.

We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with his earthly father and his Heavenly Father.
