Christopher Michael Fahrenholtz, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on March 14, 2022, at the age of 54. He is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on December 4, 1967 to Cyril Fahrenholtz and Joy Altmeyer.

Christopher is the beloved husband of Joni Viger Fahrenholtz; cherished father of Russell Amato (Melissa), Ryan Amato (Sarah), Robert Amato (Lindsay), and Christi Lambertson (Reed); proud grandfather of Russell Amato, Scarlett Amato, Audrey Amato, Jude Amato, Levi Amato, Asher Amato, Rhett Amato, Miles Amato, Juliette Amato, Willow Lambertson, and Dresden Lambertson; and treasured brother to Robert Altmeyer and the late Kerry Fahrenholtz.

Christopher attended Cochise College, where he received his associate’s degree.  He bravely served in the Navy Reserves as a Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist and the United States Army as a Sergeant in the 501st Military Intelligence Brigade. He received many recognitions, including the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. He was employed with Fugro in the geo-data industry, specializing in fleet support.  Christopher enjoyed reading and recreational shooting, but loved nothing more than the time he spent with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
