Obituary of Beverly Rose Heckler Betz

Beverly Rose Heckler Betz, of Lacombe, Louisiana, passed away on April 10, 2022 at the age of 77.  She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on December 15, 1944 to her loving parents, John Heckler and Rose Mary Scanlan Heckler.  Beverly is the beloved wife of 44 years to Peter Lester Betz, Sr. and loving stepmother of Peter Betz, Jr. (the late Linda), Melody Collura (Steve), Beverly Adams (Keith), Michael Betz (Manah), and Ann Marie Betz. Additionally, she is survived by nine grandchildren: Ryan, Lisa, Kyle, Lindsey, Kirk, William, Crystal, Philip, and Brandon; a host of great-grandchildren; and one sibling, Robert Heckler (Pat).  She is preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Michael Betz, Jr. and Michele Betz; and four siblings, William Porter (Linda), Raymond Heckler (Mary), James Heckler, Sr. (Linda), and Yvonne Barron (Faust).

Beverly was formerly employed with West Jefferson Hospital as a PBX operator prior to moving to the Northshore, where she served as a cafeteria worker at Fontainebleau High School.  She enjoyed shopping, going to the casino, and was an awesome cook but treasured nothing more than the time she spent with family and friends.  Beverly will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.  A Funeral Mass will begin in the chapel at noon.
