Obituary of Caitlín Marie Trotter
Caitlín Marie Trotter was a beacon of light in a weary world. To those who knew her, she was a giant upon whose shoulders we now stand. She thundered into life, bore hard burdens with spartan determination and a smile, and loved as earnestly. Her life’s work will be in the ones she saved and the people hereafter through the story of her life.
Caitlín was 25 years old when she died on Saturday, April 9, 2022. She was born in Toronto, Canada but spent much of her life in Mandeville, Louisiana and New Orleans. She was an amazing woman, artist, friend, daughter, sister, athlete, and student working on completing a nursing degree. She was a fantastic mother to the love of her life, Miss Solène Laurent (3 years old), and would have been devastated to have inadvertently caused her daughter and loved ones such sorrow.
Caitlín was a wickedly funny, wise, highly intelligent, and private individual who was deeply sensitive and loving. She had the soul of an angel and the appearance of an amazon. She was incredibly beautiful in person and twice as beautiful inside.
Caitlín is survived by her father, Steve Trotter; her mother, Siobhan Marie Murphy Trotter; a brother, Conor Trotter; cherished daughter, Solène Marie Laurent; grandmother, Marion O’Grady Murphy; and Solène’s father, Ryan Laurent.
