Obituary of Robert Leonard Powell Jr.

Robert Leonard Powell Jr., beloved son, grandson, brother, and uncle, passed away on May 29, 2022 at the age of 21.  He was a lifelong resident of Slidell, Louisiana, born on October 23, 2000.  Robert leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his parents, Robert Leonard Powell Sr. and Maria White Powell; maternal grandparents, Jimmy L. White and Marie Fain White; two sisters, Lacey Powell Schick (Joshua John Schick Sr.) and Lindsey Powell Naquin (Tyler Blaize Naquin); one niece, Baelee Dior Schick; three nephews, Joshua John Schick Jr., Blaize Monroe Naquin, and Everett Robert Naquin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whom he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Earl Powell and Marjorie David Powell.

Robert was a graduate of Northshore High School with the Class of 2019 and attended Southeastern University.  He served in the United States National Guard and was employed as an Inventory Specialist with Winn Dixie at store number 1502 located in Slidell.  Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.  A funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel.  Robert will be laid to rest at 1:30 p.m. in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wounded Warriors are preferred.  Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
