Ismael Alonzo Atilano, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on June 29, 2022 at the age of 92. He was born on March 12, 1930 in San Angelo, Texas, to his loving parents, the late Pedro Atilano and Francesa Alonzo Atilano. Ismael is the beloved husband of 69 years to Jesusa Susie Atilano; loving father of Elias Atilano, Roberto Atilano, Gilbert Atilano, and Diane Atilano; proud grandfather of Jennifer Atilano, Marissa Atilano, Clarissa Tarjan Atilano of Canada, Gavin Atilano, and Alyssa Atilano Disoso; and cherished great-grandfather of Cecilia M. Atilano, McKenzie Atilano Disoso, Montgomery Atilano Disoso, and Miles Atilano Busch. He is also survived by his two sisters, Maria Atilano Martinez, 100 years old, of San Angelo, Texas, and Belia Atilano Benitez of San Angelo, Texas.
Ismael attended Wall High School in Wall, Texas and had a career as a cement mason. He enjoyed going to the racetrack, playing golf, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ismael will fondly be remembered as being full of life and energy. He loved to listen to Ranchero music and dance. Ismael will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
